Hannah and Kaden’s love story started in the halls of high school. They knew of each other in high school but never really talked. He was two years older, and their paths just never quite crossed. That is, until her senior year, right before graduation, when fate (or maybe just great timing) finally brought them together. A few dates later, they knew that this was something special.
Just like the first time they felt love, the proposal was a dreamy, heart-racing moment at Whitaker Point, Arkansas, a breathtaking spot known for its cliffs and sweeping views. The hike up was tough, and while she was snapping pictures, she couldn’t shake the feeling that something big was coming.
Meanwhile, Kaden was nervously focused on one thing: getting to the top so he could pop the question. When that moment finally came, they both cried. It was about every moment that had brought them here. “I had been waiting so long for it to happen,” Hannah says, "but at the same time it was the perfect moment for it to happen. There couldn’t have been a better time in our lives.”
With a short engagement, wedding planning flew by in a whirlwind. But when the big day arrived, it was nothing short of magical. “The moment from our wedding that made me smile the most was actually the day before. We did our vows in private at the park in town we’ve had many dates at. It was just a beautiful moment we got to share together making promises to keep for the rest of our lives.”
As for the ceremony itself, there was one little hiccup. They had planned to include communion as a way to honor their faith, but somewhere along the way, there was a mix-up about who was supposed to bring the supplies. When the moment arrived, they had a bottle of sweet tea and a single peanut butter cracker. “So we ended up drinking sweet tea and eating a peanut butter cracker that got stuck in my teeth for the rest of the ceremony.”
Not exactly what they’d planned, but absolutely a memory they’ll never forget and always look back on with a smile.
Marriage, Hannah says, is a journey, and for them, it’s been an adventure filled with discovery. "Since getting married and living together, we’ve learned even more about each other. Getting to create our home together has been one of our favorite things."
And as for how she knew Kaden was the one? “There wasn’t one moment. I just knew. He never didn’t feel like home to me.”
For Hannah, their love is “full of life, sweetness, and excitement.” It’s real, alive and something worth holding onto forever.
When it comes to advice, for Hannah, it’s all about trusting that deep feeling and that sense of peace and comfort that just clicks. "When it feels like home, it is home."
Now that’s something we believe in, too. Because just like the perfect ring, the right person completes you in all the right ways.
